New Democracy MEP Frédéric Beleris visited the Evangelismos Hospital, where Archbishop Anastasios of Albania has been under intensive care for the sixth consecutive day. Beleris described the Archbishop as his spiritual father, emphasizing his admiration and gratitude.

“For me, His Beatitude is my spiritual father,” said Beleris. “He is the person who stood by me during the most difficult period of my life. He came and visited me in my cell. I have now come to join my prayers with those of the rest of the Greek people for his swift recovery.”

Beleiris highlighted the Archbishop’s tremendous contribution: “His Beatitude Anastasios is the person who resurrected the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania from the ruins. He has achieved an enormous amount of work and is a point of reference for every Greek in Albania,” he stressed.
