An Israeli was seriously injured Saturday afternoon after an attack by a 19-year-old Palestinian near a shopping mall in Tel Aviv.

According to the Israeli police, the attacker is dead after being shot by a citizen who was at the scene.

The ambulance service said the man injured in the suspected terror attack in Tel Aviv was stabbed and not shot.

The suspected attack was initially described as a “shooting incident”. The Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv lists the victim’s condition as serious.

It should be noted that the incident occurred one day before the ceasefire in Gaza came into force.

According to local media, the perpetrator of the attack came from Tulkarem in the West Bank and was in Israel illegally.
