The 39-year-old Turk, accused of murdering the owner of a gaming agency in Palaio Faliro, has been sent to prison following his testimony today at the courts of the former Evelpidon Military Academy.
According to sources, during his testimony, the accused expressed remorse for the heinous crime he committed. However, he attempted—as he did during the preliminary investigation—to shift the blame onto the victim, claiming that the victim was the first to threaten him with a knife, which caused him to “lose control” and react.
Furthermore, the defense team of the 39-year-old stated that the knife will not be found, as the accused allegedly threw it into the sea.
At the same time, the accused’s lawyer, V. Spyrou, submitted a request for a psychiatric evaluation of his client, which was granted.
