Donald Trump’s suspension of his tariffs on Mexico for a month was announced by the Central American country’s president, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, while announcing the deployment of troops to the border.

“We had a good conversation with President Trump, with great respect for our relationship and sovereignty, and reached a series of agreements,” the Mexican president wrote in a tweet.
