On Thursday morning, Maria Karystianou, president of the “Tempi 2023” Association, appeared before the appellate investigator handling the Tempi accident case.

Upon her arrival at the Larissa Courthouse, Ms. Karystianou declined to make any statements before meeting with the investigator.

Today, stationmasters from the railway stations through which the freight train passed on the night of February 28, 2023, are also expected to testify before the investigator. Earlier in the morning, two judicial experts were also present before the investigator.

It is worth recalling that these experts have been tasked by the appellate investigator with reviewing video footage from the freight train, which was recently submitted by lawyer Vasilis Kapernaros on behalf of the company responsible for the railway network’s surveillance cameras.
