Israel will release 369 imprisoned Palestinians as part of the ceasefire agreement with Israel.
According to the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, three male hostages, Shagi Dekel Chen, Sasha Trufanov and Yair Horn, will be released on Saturday. Hamas notified Israel of the identities of the three hostages to be released through Egyptian and Qatari mediators, having backed down Thursday from a threat to delay the next release.
Hamas had earlier in the week accused Israel of failing to meet its aid obligations under the ceasefire. Israel had rejected the accusation and threatened to resume the war.
For its part, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club said 369 prisoners would be released by Israel on Saturday.
“In total, 36 lifers will be released under the sixth exchange and 24 of them will be deported. In addition, more than 333 prisoners from the Gaza Strip who were arrested after October 7 will be released,” said the chairman of the non-governmental organization, Abdullah Zegari.
