Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is visiting Ankara on Tuesday, January 18, at the invitation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to a statement from Turkey‘s Communication Directorate.
The Erdogan-Zelensky meeting in Ankara will take place as talks between high-level US-Russia delegations, led by the foreign ministers of the two countries, are being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on ending the war in Ukraine.
“During the meeting, all aspects of Turkey-Ukraine strategic partnership relations will be examined and the measures to be taken to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries will be discussed. During the visit, an exchange of views on the latest developments in Ukraine and other regional and global issues will also take place,” Turkish Presidency Communications Director Fakhretin Altun said in a post.
