Three bloody incidents within a few hours in Edessa – Two injured and five arrests

Authorities are investigating whether there is a fan background behind the successive incidents

Newsroom February 20 03:49

Three incidents occurred in a few hours in Edessa, resulting in five people being arrested, two of whom ended up in hospital.

Specifically, a 54-year-old man reported to authorities that on Tuesday night (Feb 18) around 22:30, while he was out with his 16-year-old son, he was attacked by three people. According to him, three men aged 28, 34, and 20 years old threatened him, insulted him, and beat him.

However, according to reports, the incident did not end there, as that evening the 54-year-old man along with a 21-year-old man attacked the 28-year-old (whom they had reported earlier), resulting in the latter being taken to the hospital in Edessa.

The following morning, the 54-year-old, together with unknown persons, also beat the 34-year-old who was also taken to hospital.

Police made five arrests and the 54-year-old, along with his son and the 21-year-old, walked through the prosecutor’s door today (2/20). The 28-year-old and the 34-year-old are under guard.
