A 37-year-old tourist was found dead in a ravine in the “Kastalia Spring” area of Delphi.

According to lamiareport.gr, the tourist had been hiking along one of the local trails when, under unclear circumstances, she fell onto the rocks.

The woman had fallen into a steep and inaccessible area, requiring the intervention of the 7th EMAK (Special Disaster Response Unit) and a specialized mountain rescue team to retrieve her body. She had been in the area since February 18 for vacation and had rented a house.

The local police department is conducting a preliminary investigation, while an autopsy will be performed by the Lamia Forensic Service.
