Maria Karystianou requested a meeting with Nikitas Kaklamanis, the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday (February 27), at 11 AM.
Kaklamanis, speaking with parliamentary reporters, revealed that earlier today, his office received a call from Karystianou’s lawyer, Maria Gratsia, who said she was representing Karystianou.
“She told us that Maria Karystianou wants to meet with me, accompanied by her lawyer, and was awaiting my response. I had my legal advisor, Kyriaki Perrou, reach out to her colleague, and she confirmed that the meeting could take place on a personal level. She also said that an email needed to be sent by Ms. Karystianou,” he explained.
“The email from Ms. Karystianou indeed arrived around 4 PM,” the Speaker continued, adding, “I replied informing her that she is welcome to come to my office either Saturday or Sunday morning. The Parliament does not have any disputes with any citizen, so there is no need for a lawyer to be present at the meeting.”
