The Multi-National Air Force Exercise “Iniochos 2025” began today in Greece and is expected to conclude on Friday, April 11, 2025.
The main hosting facility for the exercise is the Hellenic Air Force Base Andravida, from which all the fighter aircraft of foreign missions will operate, while the majority of the Air Force fighters will operate from the 116th Fighter Wing.
The Air Tactics Center, oversees the missions, from scenario planning to debriefing.
As announced, in “Iniochos 2025” all types of air missions are to be performed under an intense battle rhythm, day and night, covering the whole range of modern air operations in a series of complex, highly realistic scenarios. At the same time, missions will be performed using also the F-16 Tactical Simulator aircraft of the Operational Synthetic Training Squadron of the KET, extending the exercise into the digital world.
In the exercise, the Hellenic Air Force is participating with all types of its fighter aircraft, as well as helicopters, transport and training aircraft. Also participating are forces of the Hellenic Army and the Hellenic Navy, which are instrumental in creating complex and realistic scenarios across the entire range of Greek territory.
In addition, a large number of air forces from allied and friendly countries such as France with M-2000, the US with F-16, KC-46 and KC-135, the United Arab Emirates with M2000-9 are participating, India with SU-30, Spain with F/A-18 Hornet, Israel with G-550, Italy with Tornado, Qatar with F-15, Montenegro with B-412, Poland with F-16 and Slovenia with PC-9. In addition, Cyprus is participating with support personnel while Slovakia and Bahrain have sent an observer team.
