With 11 sailors in 4 categories, Greek sailing is represented in the prestigious “Princesa Sofia” regatta, traditionally held every year in Mallorca.

The race is ongoing, and so far, the best performance from the Greek side is by Giorgos Papadakos and Cameron Alexandros Maramenidis.

Specifically, in the ILCA 7 category, Giorgos Papadakos has started very strong and is currently 4th with 32 points out of 174 boats. Six races have been completed, and his positions were 6th, 7th, 36th (which was discarded as his worst result), 2nd, 4th, and 13th, respectively. Anastasios Panagiotidis is 67th with 102 points (42nd, which was discarded, 41st, 8th, 35th, 17th, 1st), Adamantios Petrianos is 71st with 109 points (46th, which was discarded, 37th, 31st, 5th, 30th, 6th), and Spyros Proveleggios is in 86th place with 125 points (26th, 59th, which was discarded, 37th, 3rd, 32nd, 27th).

In the Formula Kite, after 12 races, Cameron Alexandros Maramenidis is 6th with 44 points out of 63 boats. His results were 10th (which was discarded), 4th, 8th (which was discarded), 2nd, 4th, 6th, 5th, 6th, 10th (which was discarded), 2nd, 7th, and 8th. Vasilis Livas is in 53rd place with 226 points, and his results were 22nd, 28th (which was discarded), 27th, 27th, 23rd, 33rd (which was discarded), 24th, 24th, 39th (which was discarded), 25th, 29th, and 25th.

In the 470 mixed category, Lampis and Eleni Giannouli are in 26th place with 72 points out of 55 boats. In the six races so far, they finished 16th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 21st, and 23rd (which was discarded as their worst result).

In the ILCA 6 category, 114 boats have raced in 6 regattas. Barbara Portolou is in 69th place with 126 points, with results of 31st, 49th (which was discarded), 45th, 9th, 33rd, and 8th.

Evangelia Karageorgou is in 82nd place with 152 points, with results of 46th (which was discarded), 37th, 15th, 41st, 29th, and 30th. Maria Christina Meni is 99th with 195 points, with finishes of 49th, 49th, 30th, 36th, 58th (which was discarded), and 31st.
