This season’s European campaign for Panathinaikos came to an end in Florence. The “Greens” were eliminated by Fiorentina with an aggregate score of 5-4, bidding farewell to the Conference League for the 2024-25 season.
However, the “Greens” still hold a unique record in the competition related to fan attendance. Panathinaikos fans set the record for the largest attendance in a Conference League match so far.
On October 24, 2024, Panathinaikos faced Chelsea at the OAKA stadium. The “Blues” won 4-1, and 59,742 fans attended the match, the highest number for any game in this year’s competition. It is worth noting that on that night, the entire Panathinaikos organization honored the memory of the late George Baldock.
In second place on the list is Betis, with a record of 51,510 attendees, during their match against Gent.
