If waiting at the airport feels like a torment to you, then you clearly haven’t passed through Singapore’s Changi Airport. For the 13th time, the airport has been named “World’s Best Airport” by the global air transport rating organization Skytrax, solidifying its reputation as a destination in itself—not just a place of transit.
Changi stands out not only for its functionality and aesthetics, but also for offering experiences that rival those of a theme park: butterfly gardens, a 40-meter waterfall, cinemas, museums, play areas, a dinosaur-themed park, and of course, the Jewel—a ten-story shopping complex that alone attracted 80 million visitors in 2024.
Gastronomy, cleanliness, and…luxury
According to CNN, in addition to the top honor, Changi also received awards for Best Airport Dining Experience, Cleanest Airport Toilets, and Best Airport in Asia.
At the same time, the airport is undergoing an investment phase exceeding $2 billion, with the construction of a fifth terminal underway, expected to be operational in the 2030s.
