With mild weather conditions and the mercury on the rise, we will head into Easter Sunday and Easter Monday, however, the weather will remain unsettled until next Sunday, according to meteorologists.
The weather in Holy Week will be spring-like, with any showers and storms subsiding and the temperature showing a noticeable rise, even exceeding 26 degrees Celsius.
Thodoros Kolydas in their forecast said that during Holy Week, a warm transfer of gaseous masses from the coast of Africa is predicted and this will result in temperatures being at high values for the season, while Giorgos Tsatrafyllias in a post had written that from Wednesday and after Great Wednesday the thermometers will exceed 25-26 degrees in several areas and even in combination with the wind field (downwinds) is not excluded to approach 30 degrees Celsius.
Freezing hours in Northern Greece

The temperature in Western Macedonia will range from 4 to 16 degrees Celsius, in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace from 4 to 20, in Thessaly from 8 to 22, in Epirus from 3 to 19, in Sterea and Peloponnese from 4 to 21, in the Ionian islands from 5 to 19, in the North and East Aegean islands from 4 to 16, in the Cyclades and the Dodecanese from 10 to 18, and in Crete from 7 to 23 degrees Celsius.
From 10 to 15 degrees Celsius and from 7 to 7 degrees Cretaceous.
Winds in the North Aegean will initially blow from southwestern directions from 3 to 5 Beaufort but from the morning they will shift to northerly winds of the same intensity. In the Central Aegean Sea the winds will initially blow from southwestern directions 3 to 5 Beaufort, then from western directions 2 to 4 Beaufort and from noon from northern directions 3 to 5 Beaufort. In the South Aegean Sea the winds will blow from westerly directions 3 to 5 Beaufort but from the afternoon they will shift to northerly winds of the same intensity. In the Ionian Sea the winds will blow from northwestern directions 3 to 5 Beaufort.
In Attica clouds are expected from the morning. Winds will initially blow from westerly directions up to 3 Beaufort but from the morning they will shift to northerly 2 to 4 Beaufort. The temperature in the center of Athens will range from 10 to 19 degrees Celsius.
In the prefecture of Thessaloniki clouds are expected while local rain will occur from noon onwards. Winds will blow from variable directions from 2 to 4 Beaufort but from the morning to the afternoon will become occasionally northwestern 4 to 6 Beaufort. The temperature in the center of Thessaloniki will range from 10 to 20 degrees Celsius.
The weather on Sunday (13/04)
In the eastern mainland, Euboea, Crete, in the morning hours in the Dodecanese and after noon in the Peloponnese and western Sterea, partly cloudy with local showers of short duration. In the rest of the country, generally clear weather with sparse clouds in the west. Visibility will be locally limited in the morning and evening hours in the western and northern mainland.
Winds in the west will blow east southeast 3 to 5 and from noon south southwest up to 4 Beaufort. In the east will blow from northern directions 4 to 5 Beaufort, occasionally until noon in the southern Aegean Sea 6 to 7 Beaufort, while in the north it will blow southeastern 3 to 4 Beaufort.
The temperature will not change significantly. It will reach 16 to 18 degrees Celsius in the northern mainland, the islands of the eastern Aegean, the Cyclades, Crete and the Dodecanese, and locally in the south 19 and in the rest of the regions 18 to 20 degrees Celsius.
In the south of the island, the temperature will be in the south-eastern part of the island and in the south-eastern part of the island will be in the south-eastern part of the island.
The weather on Holy Monday (14/04)
Generally clear weather with sparse clouds in the Ionian Sea and the mainland. Visibility will be locally limited mainly in the west and north in the morning and evening hours.
Winds will blow south at 3 to 4 Beaufort and only in the area of the Dodecanese – eastern Cyclades and eastern Crete will blow north-northwest at 4 to 6 Beaufort.
The temperature will rise slightly.
The weather on Tuesday (15/04)
Generally clear weather with sparse clouds that will become thicker from noon on the mainland and occasionally in the Ionian Sea. Visibility will be locally limited in the west and north in the morning hours.
Winds will blow in the west southeast at 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the east north northeast at 3 to 5 Beaufort.
The temperature will rise slightly further.
The weather on Wednesday (16/04)
In the Ionian Sea, central and northern continental areas (except eastern Macedonia and Thrace) clouds, partly cloudy with occasional local showers until the afternoon. In the rest of the regions, generally clear weather with sparse clouds, occasionally and locally denser.
Winds in the west will blow southeast 4 to 6 and in the Ionian Sea up to 7 Beaufort. In the east will blow from northern directions 3 to 4 and locally in the northern Aegean Sea 5 Beaufort.
The temperature will rise further.
