“Netanyahu: Reinforcements May Be Requested from Greece and Other Countries for the Fires

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated today that he is considering requesting reinforcements from Greece and other countries to combat the fires in the Jerusalem area.

Fires broke out this morning in forested areas due to a heatwave and later spread.

Police evacuated residents from several villages about 20 km west of Jerusalem, while firefighters were deployed in the area to try to control the fire.
