Giorgos Moschouris: Over 30 shell casings found at the scene of the crime

New details emerge regarding the execution of Giorgos Moschouris in Chalandri, revealing the almost military nature of the operation, which bears the traits of a professional contract killing

According to information, the assailants opened fire on “Thamnakia” with unprecedented brutality, seemingly using a single weapon, likely an AK-47.

More than 30 shell casings were found at the murder scene, indicating the intensity and duration of the attack.

Authorities estimate that during the attack, the assassins were able to change magazines to continue firing, aiming to ensure Moschouris‘s certain death. This strengthens the assessment that the perpetrators were well-trained, with meticulous planning and operational calmness.

Moschouris had just left a private diagnostic center on Papadopouli Street when the assailants approached in a vehicle and sprayed him with bullets, with at least one of the shots hitting him in the face, causing instant death.

Shortly after, a burned vehicle was found in the area of Patima Chalandriou, which is believed to have been used for the escape.

The police investigations are ongoing at a rapid pace, while the scenario of an internal settling of accounts within the Greek Mafia remains strong, in which Moschouris is thought to have had a leadership role. It is noteworthy that he had survived an assassination attempt in 2020 in Voula, outside a pastry shop.

The area experienced traffic chaos for hours as investigators analyzed footage from security cameras and took witness statements.

Authorities are attempting to piece together the precise timeline of the attack and the escape route of the perpetrators, who remain at large.
