– In the Dodecanese, heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast from Wednesday evening (April 30) through Thursday evening (May 1).
– In Crete, these conditions are expected from Thursday morning (May 1) until Friday morning (May 2).

According to Theodoros Kolydas, weather conditions will deteriorate starting Wednesday in the Dodecanese and Thursday in Crete, with locally heavy rain and thunderstorms. The Dodecanese will experience stormy weather from the afternoon of April 30, while Crete will face similar conditions from the morning of May 1. Conversely, western Greece will enjoy better weather, with high temperatures and sunshine.

Storms are expected in the Dodecanese and Crete, accompanied by gusty north winds in the Aegean Sea on Thursday. Giannis Kallianos on MEGA TV reports that from the weekend, especially Monday, May 5, temperatures will reach up to 30°C, signaling the onset of summer in many parts of Greece. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature recorded was 27.1°C in Paleo Skylitsi, Imathia—significantly above the seasonal average, particularly in Northern and Western Greece.

– Clouds will increase in central and southern Greece, with showers and thunderstorms expected in the Cyclades, Crete, East Aegean islands, and Dodecanese. Some storms may be intense, increasing flood risk.

– Winds in the Aegean will be strong to near gale force (6-7 Beaufort) from the north, while Dodecanese winds will be variable and lighter (3-5 Beaufort). The Ionian Sea will experience variable, light to moderate winds (3-4 Beaufort).
