Marie Menounos shared a heartfelt tribute four years after the passing of her mother, Stavroula, who died at age 66 from cancer. Marking the anniversary, the presenter posted an emotional message on her social media, expressing how much she misses her mother each day. In her Instagram share, she included a series of photos of herself and her daughter from a church where they gathered to hold a memorial service. She revealed that despite the profound loss, she aims to honor her mother’s memory with joy and light.

Marie explained that her daughter, Athena, helps her through this difficult time, believing that her mother “sent” her to her. Writing in her post, she said: “Today is the memorial for four years since my mother’s death. I miss her more and more every day. Every time Athena says or does something new, I feel a tightness in my heart. But Father George told me today that our Lord, Jesus, wants us to be happy. I believe she wants that too. He also told me I should bring light and joy through my work, and I truly hope to do that. I want to be and spread light. I want to bring happiness wherever I go. So today, we will dance, sing, and enjoy strawberries and cheese — my mother’s favorite. We will honor Stavroula “Litsa” Menounos with joy and light. Athena makes it easy; she is pure light and happiness. I know my mother sent her to me. Thank you, Mom. There are so many more things than I could ever imagine.”CopySummarize
