US President Donald Trump appeared willing today to cut tariffs on China from a whopping 145% to 80%, a figure he said “seems right.”

“An 80% tariff on China seems right. It depends on Scott B,” the US president wrote on Truth Social, referring to Treasury Secretary Scott Bennett.

“China should open up their market to the US – It would be good for them! Closed markets don’t work anymore!” Donald Trump added in a second post.
