The police have made seven arrests and one detention regarding the incident at the Law School during an event on April 30th. The seven individuals have been identified and are accused of invading the event at the School and assaulting a doctoral student, while a woman has been detained as she is suspected of aiding the arrested individuals. According to the available information, she is a student from the Department of Turkish and Asian Studies, which organized the event “Career Days,” during which the hooded attack occurred. The police operation is ongoing.

Some of those arrested have previously been detained for participating in incidents and occupation protests, and at least one claimed to be a student at the Athens University of Economics and Business. Most of the arrested have been previously charged with similar activities: one was accused of participating in an attack against Yanis Varoufakis, and another for arson on a police patrol in Monastiraki.

The coordinator of the attack on the Law School is said to be among those arrested, as is a doctor: the charges against her by the police have not been disclosed.
