The Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, will travel to Brussels to participate on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union, in the configuration of Defense Ministers.
The Defense Ministers are expected to exchange views on the EU’s Defense Readiness, the implementation of the White Paper, and the ReArm Europe plan. Current developments in Ukraine will also be on the agenda, with the participation of NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and, via videoconference, the Ukrainian Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov.
Following the conclusion of the Council, a meeting of the Steering Board of the European Defence Agency (EDA) will take place.
