Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis arrived a short while ago at the Ministry of Health on Aristotelous Street, as part of his ongoing visits to various ministries.
At the entrance, he was welcomed by Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis and Deputy Health Minister Irini Agapidaki.
A meeting with the ministry’s political leadership will follow, during which the plan for modernizing the National Health System (ESY) will be discussed. This plan includes strengthening personnel, upgrading infrastructure, and implementing a digital transformation aimed at improving healthcare services.
Among the issues to be addressed are interventions in Primary Healthcare, changes in emergency duty schedules to reduce waiting times in Emergency Departments (EDs), and the implementation of an electronic patient tracking system—commonly referred to as the “bracelet.” Other topics include afternoon surgeries and more.
