An unknown aspect of the legendary Queen singer Freddie Mercury’s life is coming to light with the release of a new book, expected to cause a stir in the world of music and showbiz.

According to the Daily Mail, the singer’s biography titled “Love, Freddie” by Lesley-Ann Jones reveals that Mercury had a daughter, whose existence he kept secret and was known only to his inner circle.

A Closely Guarded Secret Known to Very Few

The existence of Freddie Mercury’s daughter was known only to a few close people – his parents, sister, the members of Queen, and of course Mary Austin, the woman he called the love of his life. The daughter was conceived in 1976 after a brief affair with the wife of a very close friend.

According to British media, his daughter, known only by the initial “B”, is now 48 years old, lives in Europe, and works as a doctor. She also has children of her own. The book is based on Mercury’s personal diaries, which he left to the author shortly before his death from AIDS-related pneumonia in 1991.

B spoke exclusively to the author, explaining that she was raised with a lot of love and always knew the identity of her father.

Lesley-Ann Jones said that B approached her three years ago, never seeking money or publicity. She is not mentioned in Mercury’s will, but her share was secured through a private legal arrangement. According to the author, B was raised by her mother and stepfather, while Freddie had his own room in their home and spoke with his daughter daily during his tours.

Freddie Mercury had relationships with both men and women. His most well-known relationship was with Mary Austin, with whom he lived and was engaged until he came out to her as gay. Despite this, they remained close until his death. In later years, he also had relationships with women such as actress Barbara Valentin, while his third and most secret relationship was with the mother of his child.
