Knife attack in Hamburg – At least 12 injured, one woman arrested

Six of the victims of the attack that took place at the central railway station are in critical condition

At least 12 people were injured in a knife attack at Hamburg‘s central railway station on Friday.

Police clarified that three victims are in critical condition, another three are seriously injured, and six sustained minor injuries. Initially, it was reported that there were eight injured.

Bild reports that a woman was arrested by federal police. However, other media outlets mention the arrest of a man.

It is currently unclear how the attack happened, and the motive remains unknown.

The bloody incident occurred on platform 13/14 around 6 p.m. (7 p.m. Greek time).

Train traffic at the station was suspended, and an intercity train scheduled to depart was evacuated.
