The battle of the 2025 Panhellenic examinations is on from Friday 30/5 and Saturday 31/5, respectively, for candidates of the GEL and EPAL to claim one of the 68,788 places in Higher Education for the coming academic year.
The programme
Specifically, candidates of the General High School will be tested in the first subject of the Panhellenic Examination on May 30, Modern Greek Language and Literature (General Education), while candidates of the National High School will be tested on May 31 in Modern Greek.
Then, as far as the candidates of the General High School are concerned, on Monday, June 2, the examinations will be held for Ancient Greek (Humanities Orientation Group), Mathematics (O.P. Science Studies and Economics and Computer Studies) and Biology (O.P. Health Studies).

On Wednesday, June 4, the candidates of the General High School will take the tests in Latin (Humanities), Chemistry (Science and Health Studies) and Computer Science (Economics and Information Studies).
Physics and Computer Science (Hellenic Faculty of Science and Technology) and Computer Science (Hellenic Faculty of Engineering and Technology).
The examinations of the nationally examined courses will be concluded on Friday, June 6, with the courses: History (O.P. Humanities Studies), Physics (O.P. Science and Health Studies) and Economics (O.P. Economics and Computer Studies).
Accordingly, the Panhellenic Examination schedule for the candidates of the National University of Applied Sciences, is as follows: Opening on Saturday 31 May 2025 with the course of Modern Greek. The examination in Mathematics (Algebra) will continue on June 3. This will be followed, from June 5 to June 16, by the examinations in specialization courses.
On June 24, 2017, the examinations in specialization courses will be held on June 3, 2017.
On Friday, June 5 and Friday, February 5, the students will take the examinations for the final examinations in mathematics.
Finally, it is worth noting that the examinations in special subjects will be held from June 14 to June 25, 2025. Similarly, the Health Examinations and Practical Test of candidates (GEL and EPAL) for admission to the Departments of Physical Education and Sports Science (TEFAA) will be conducted from June 16 to June 27.

Useful information and basic instructions

Ahead of the start of the Panhellenic Examinations, it is important that candidates are aware of key points of the process so that everything goes smoothly.
It may be recalled, therefore, that the commencement of the examination is set to take place at 8:30 am, however, candidates should reach the examination halls latest by 8:00 am. The duration of the examination is 3 hours.
With them, candidates should bring the following:
– An identity card or passport.
– ID card of a candidate for the Panhellenic Examinations.
– Blue or black pen. It is worth noting that a pencil may not be used in the answers, unless specified in the instructions for the questions. Candidates are permitted to carry an eraser and pencil sharpener.
– Geometric instruments, for the subjects they are needed.
– A bottle of water or juice.
– A wristwatch, but not a smartwatch.
However, candidates are prohibited from carrying the following:
– Books, notebooks and notes.
– Corrective (blanco) of any form (liquid or tape).
– Mobile telephone and other means of transmitting or receiving information and communication, computing machines.
High school course completion and examinations
As mentioned above, the end of the final examinations (also called “in-school”) for students in the third grade is set for tomorrow, Monday, May 26, 2025. The closing date for the release of results is next Wednesday, May 28, 2025, which is two days before the beginning of the Panhellenic Examinations.
As for the high school promotional examinations, the examinations for the first and second grade will be completed by June 13, 2025. June 20 has been set as the cut-off date for issuing results.
With regard to high schools, the last bell of the year will ring next Wednesday, May 28, 2025, and the Ministry of Education has scheduled the promotional and final examinations to be held between June 3-16, 2025.
