Three orange summer smoothies that are more instagrammable — and nutritious — Than Aperol

Summer smoothies

Newsroom May 28 12:00

Forget clinking glasses and orange bubbles for a moment. This summer, the most refreshing glass doesn’t contain alcohol, but fruits blended to perfection that boost your energy (and your feed). Three smoothies full of color, character, and tropical vibe, combining flavor with vitamins — without any nutritional compromises.

From peach with coconut that feels like a getaway to the Aegean, to apricot-strawberry playing sweet-tart games with the palate, and mango-papaya transporting us straight to a hammock in Hawaii — these smoothies are not just recipes. They are a way of life.

Grab a glass, a blender, and watch summer be served with a straw.

Peach and Coconut Smoothie
Ingredients (for 2 glasses)

  • 2 ripe peaches, halved, pitted, and roughly chopped
  • 1/3 cup coconut cream
  • 1 cup frozen coconut water
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 3/4 cup ice cubes
  • Extra peach slices and mint leaves for garnish

Preparation
Place peaches, coconut cream, coconut water, lime juice, and honey into a powerful blender. Blend until smooth. Add the ice cubes and blend again until crushed. Serve in glasses, garnished with peach slices and mint leaves, and enjoy!

Apricot and Strawberry Smoothie
This apricot smoothie has just 5 ingredients, with the last one optional. It’s incredibly easy. It strikes the perfect balance between sweetness and slight tartness, with strawberries elevating the fruity flavor of the apricot. It’s a healthy drink that energizes you, rich in vitamins A and C, and packed with dietary fiber.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold coconut water (or filtered cold water)
  • 1 cup cleaned strawberries (you can substitute with 1 cup blueberries)
  • 2 cups (about 340 g) pitted apricots
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1 teaspoon flaxseed oil (optional — adds omega-3 and a health boost)

Preparation
Put all ingredients into the blender and blend until creamy and refreshing. If you want it thicker or more frozen, add extra frozen fruit or ice.

Mango and Papaya Smoothie
This mango and papaya smoothie is an escape in a glass! We use plenty of frozen fruits — mango, papaya, and banana — blend them with a little coconut milk, and voilà: a cooling beverage you could easily enjoy by a pool in the tropics.

What each ingredient offers

  • Papaya: Rich in dietary fiber, antioxidants, and vitamin A.
  • Mango: Low in calories, full of fiber and vitamin A, just like papaya.
  • Banana: Adds a creamy texture and is an excellent source of potassium.
  • Coconut milk: Complements the tropical fruits perfectly.
  • Water or extra coconut milk: To thin the smoothie if needed.

Preparation
Make it in a minute. No prep needed, just have the fruits cut and ready to blend. Combine all ingredients, blend until smooth and thick. Done!

Tips for the perfect Mango Papaya Smoothie:

  • Frozen banana: Before blending, freeze the banana. It makes the smoothie creamier and eliminates the need for additional ice, which could dilute the flavor.
  • Use ripe banana: A great opportunity to use up the blackened ones. They’re sweeter too.
  • Ensure mango and papaya are ripe: The riper, the sweeter and tastier.
  • No ice! Unless you want the smoothie to resemble… frozen water. Instead, have at least one fruit frozen to keep it cool and rich in texture.
