Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that the vote of confidence in his government – which he called for after the opposition candidate won the presidential election – will take place on June 11.
“The vote on the vote of confidence in the government will take place on Wednesday, June 11,” Tusk said ahead of the opening of a cabinet meeting.
According to official results published yesterday, Monday, Karol Navrotski, who has the backing of the opposition, Law and Justice (PiS) party, won 50.89 percent of the vote, compared to 49.11 percent for pro-European Rafal Traskowski, in the second round of the presidential election.
