The investigations of the National Police continue with undiminished intensity for the identification and the arrest of people from Turkey who are members of criminal organizations and operate in our country.

After the incident with the shooting of the EIS agents in Thermi, Thessaloniki, police officers are determined to put an end to the activities of members of the Turkish mafia who are operating in Greece.

So, according to reports, an operation was carried out in Thessaloniki, Kavala, and Xanthi during which arrests were made for drugs and illegal possession of cartridges.

At the same time, the officers of the EL.AS. managed to locate the weapon with which the 49-year-old Turkish man who was arrested days ago shot at the NIS agents. The weapon was found in fields near where the arrested men’s car was located.
