During the meeting, they discussed prospects for strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the fields of economy and defense, as well as issues of European interest.

The two leaders had an in-depth discussion on Greece’s initiatives regarding the protection of minors from digital addiction. The Prime Minister specifically mentioned the “Kids Wallet” initiative, and they explored the potential for joint European action in this area.
They also exchanged views on the landscape of Artificial Intelligence in Europe. Kyriakos Mitsotakis emphasized the need to strike the right balance between innovation, technological development, and a regulatory framework for platforms and tech companies.
The Prime Ministers also discussed the competitiveness of the European economy and collective European defense.

Mitsotakis stressed that the initiatives underway to strengthen European defense are important but highlighted that additional funding is needed to implement projects of joint European interest, in line with the Draghi report. Lastly, issues related to the next Multiannual Financial Framework of the European Union were discussed.
