We’re stepping into the week with classic early-summer conditions across Greece. Temperatures will climb up to 33°C in parts of the mainland today, while brisk northerly winds persist over the Aegean, reaching up to 7 Beaufort in the eastern islands. Despite the seasonal heat, no major heatwave is on the 10-day horizon. Today, Monday, brings mostly clear skies, with just a few passing clouds developing over the mainland during the midday and afternoon hours, particularly in the west, where brief showers are possible in the mountains.
The Ionian will remain calm with light winds, while the Aegean stays breezy with those strong northern gusts. Daytime highs will peak between 29°C and 33°C, hottest in the western mainland and Thessaly, and slightly cooler, around 28°C, across the Cyclades. In Attica, expect sunny skies, light northerlies up to 5 Beaufort in the east, and temperatures between 21°C and 32°C, slightly lower along the coast. Thessaloniki will enjoy similarly clear skies with a few clouds in the afternoon and mild breezes, with temperatures from 19°C to 30°C. Looking ahead to Tuesday, we’ll see a modest temperature rise and continued strong northern winds in the Aegean, while isolated thunderstorms may pop up in Epirus by late afternoon. The rest of the country will remain generally sunny and stable.
