Russia today handed over to Ukraine another 1,245 bodies of Ukrainians – civilians and soldiers – who died on the front, completing the agreement reached by the two sides in the Istanbul negotiations.

Thus, Ukraine received 6,057 bodies, while the investigative authorities, in cooperation with experts from the Ministry of Interior, will conduct all necessary examinations and identify the repatriated bodies.

The Ukrainian Exchange Coordination Center expressed its gratitude for the assistance provided by the International Committee of the Red Cross.

It is worth noting that, at the same time, Russia received in return 78 bodies of Russian soldiers killed on the battlefield.
