The best employer in Greece for 2025

Top distinction for Papastratos for the 5th consecutive year

Newsroom June 23 06:45

Papastratos remains firmly committed to creating a healthy, modern, and humane work environment. This commitment is recognized for yet another year, with the company being named “The Most Attractive Employer in Greece” for 2025, according to the Randstad Employer Brand Research (REBR) – for the 5th consecutive year.

This is the largest and most comprehensive independent employer brand study in the world, which evaluates the reputation and attractiveness of the largest employers by the general public. The survey highlights the key criteria for choosing an employer: competitive pay and benefits, job security, career opportunities, a balanced work environment, and social responsibility.

In addition, the survey examines the key criteria that influence potential candidates’ choice of employer. In Greece, the study is being conducted for the 8th year and for 2025, the study involved 3,576 people aged 18 to 65 – employees, students and unemployed – who evaluated the 150 largest companies in the country, based on the number of employees.

Papastratos: The Most Attractive Employer in Greece for 2025

.

Papastratos took 1st place for the 5th consecutive year, a record performance for the Greek market in this survey.

This distinction further strengthens Papastratos’s position as an employer of choice in Greece, confirming its firm commitment to creating a working environment that promotes the development and empowerment of its people’s skills.

On the occasion of this recognition, Maria Patakiouti, General Manager of People and Culture of Papastratos and N.A. Europe of Philip Morris International, said: “This award is the result of a long and collective effort to create an environment where every person feels that their voice matters and that they are evolving. The trust shown to us – both by our employees and those who choose us as a candidate employer – fills us with a responsibility to continue #prostokalytero, investing meaningfully in our people.”.

Papastratos has once again been recertified as an Equal Pay & Opportunities employer, receiving the international certification Equal Pay & Opportunities from the EQUAL-SALARY Foundation. Since 2019, when it became the first – and for several years the only – company in Greece to obtain this certification, Papastratos has been steadily renewing its compliance, confirming its long-standing commitment to gender equality. The most recent recertification is valid until 2028 and includes two intermediate audits, ensuring ongoing compliance and transparency. The benchmarking process allows companies to demonstrate that all employees are paid fairly for the same work or work of equal value. The certification is aimed at organisations with more than 50 employees, regardless of industry or country.

The EQUAL-SALARY Foundation anonymously collects and securely analyzes pay data, and the audit team examines: the existence of a fair and objective pay policy; leadership commitment to equality; the integration of an equal opportunity strategy into HR processes; and employees’ perceptions of company practices. This recertification is further practical evidence of Papastratos’ commitment to equality, transparency, and fair treatment of all its people.
