The temperature rose on Tuesday (24/6), with the maximum value exceeding 37°C. The maximum among all active weather stations of the National Observatory of Athens/Meteo.gr network was recorded by the weather station of Helioloustos Kilkis (37.7°C), followed by those of the city of Karditsa and Paleos Skylitsiou, Imathia (37.5°C).

The map below shows the distribution of the maximum temperature in the country according to the network of automatic meteorological stations of the National Observatory of Athens / meteo.gr. As can be seen from the relevant information also presented in this figure, the temperature exceeded 30°C at 412 of the 533 currently active stations (~77%) and 25°C at 521 stations (~98%). The average maximum temperature was equal to 32.0°C, a value 2.1°C higher than that of 23/06 (29.9°C).

The weather on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service

Generally clear weather across the country. A few occasional clouds in the mountains of Macedonia in the afternoon – afternoon. Winds will blow from the north 3 to 5 and locally in the Aegean Sea 6 Beaufort. The temperature will rise. It will reach 38 to 39 degrees Celsius on the mainland, 35 degrees Celsius on the Ionian islands, the eastern Aegean and southern Crete and 31 to 32 degrees Celsius in the rest of the island country.
