Her brother, Dimitris, stood by Irini Mourtzoukou in statements he made, blaming her mother, Poppy, for her downfall, he said.

“I don’t feel good, all of this has been done by Poppy. She got desperate from her mother Irini and ended up like this,” he told Open, and when asked if he had any complaints about Poppy himself, he said: “Yes, a lot. She threw me in the car, she didn’t care about me, she ate my work money, I didn’t have a single euro when I went out with my friends…”

Asked if Irini has anyone to care for her, her brother replied: “No one but me, who is her brother, and I grew up with her from a very young age. If she (Poppy) were a good mother, she wouldn’t go out and blame her everywhere to go in. I don’t believe her; she lies (that she will end her life if something happens to Irini). The crying she was doing on TikTok, it’s all lies.”

On whether he misses his sisters, Dimitris Mourtzoukos said: “Yes, both of them. If I could do something and have money, I would have them both here near me. Irini is now desperate in there, crying right now where she’s sitting. But I want my mother to go now too, not just her.”

When asked if he thinks the 25-year-old will be able to handle prison, Dimitris Mourtzoukos replied: “No, Irini will not endure prison that long. I want my mother to go too. I feel scared…’
