An alarm was raised at noon on Thursday in the Asteria sea area in Glyfada, as a 74-year-old swimmer went missing.

Investigations are underway under the coordination of the Uniform Search and Rescue Coordination Centre, with the participation of two Coast Guard boats, private boats and a helicopter of Coast Guard helicopter, to locate the swimmer.

South winds are blowing in the area, force 5 Beaufort.
