Shortly after he leaves, smoke appears in the same spot, with the fire spreading due to the strong winds in the area.
At the same time, police also detained an individual who was seen carrying four lighters in the Aroi area on Wednesday night.

The Patras Division for Crime Investigation conducted an official investigation to identify and arrest anyone involved in the fire that broke out on the night of August 12, 2025, in the Sychaina area of Achaia.

Through intelligence gathering, additional investigative actions, and review of video footage, the involvement of two individuals, aged 27 and 19, was confirmed.
During further investigation, a bottle containing what is believed to be flammable material was discovered. It was determined that one of the suspects had discarded the bottle in a forested area.
