Seven arrests after a two-day operation of the Hellenic Police in West Attica – Most for weapons and drugs

A coordinated police operation was carried out by the Directorate for the Prevention and Suppression of Crime (DAOE) on Tuesday and Wednesday, August 12–13, as part of an operational plan to prevent and combat crime in Western Attica.

In total, seven people were arrested, with case files filed against them—depending on the incident—for weapons and drugs.

Details of the arrests:

  • 45-year-old man: Arrested for weapons possession; two hunting shotguns were found and seized from his home.
  • 31-year-old woman: Arrested for weapons and drugs; police found 3.8 grams of cannabis and a flare gun for marine signal flares in her home.
  • 32-year-old man: Arrested for weapons and drugs; 4.8 grams of cocaine and a metal knuckle-duster were seized from his residence.
  • 43-year-old woman: Arrested for drugs; 18 narcotic pills were found in her home.
  • 59-year-old woman: Arrested for drug trafficking; found in possession of 29 narcotic pills.
  • 39-year-old man: Arrested for drug trafficking; found with 0.9 grams of crack cocaine, along with a scale.
  • 50-year-old man: Arrested for drug possession; found with 0.4 grams of heroin, reportedly obtained earlier from the 39-year-old.

The detainees, along with their respective case files, were brought before the competent Prosecutor’s Office.
