Moscow handed over the bodies of 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers and received 19 bodies of its own soldiers, the news agency reported.

“According to the Istanbul agreements, today we delivered 1,000 bodies of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers to the Ukrainian side. They gave us 19. The same as a month ago,” said Vladimir Medinsky on behalf of Moscow.

It is recalled that on July 23, the third round of direct Russia-Ukraine negotiations on resolving the Ukrainian issue took place in Istanbul. After the meeting, the parties agreed to exchange not only military personnel but also civilians.
