Sophie Turner: The reason she doesn’t want to return to the U.S. after her split from Joe Jonas

The actress now lives permanently in England after deciding to go separate ways from the singer

Newsroom August 25 08:47

Sophie Turner commented on her decision not to return to the U.S. following her separation from her ex-husband, Joe Jonas, as she now lives in England.

As the actress told Flaunt magazine in an interview published on August 22, this choice gives her a sense of security: “I just feel so at home here. I never want to move again.”

Turner also spoke about the changes she has noticed in her daily life: “Living in the U.S., I didn’t appreciate how important friends and family are, and how vital they are for your well-being until you’re away from them. I came back full of gratitude for them.”

The split between Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner initially led to an intense dispute over the custody of their children, which was resolved with an agreement in October 2023. Commenting on this difficult period, the actress admitted that she has mixed feelings about how things unfolded.

“I’m not happy with how everything turned out, especially when it comes to my children,” Turner said to British Vogue in May 2024, adding: “They are the victims in all of this. But I think we are doing the best we can. I’m sure we’ll manage. Joe is an amazing father to our children, and that’s all I could ask for.”

Since their tumultuous separation, it seems that their relationship has improved, and both former spouses are cooperating better regarding the upbringing of their children. Joe Jonas has spoken positively about their relationship, expressing his appreciation for their ongoing efforts to raise their children effectively after the split.
