Greece and Cyprus invited by Trump to the Gaza conference

On Monday in Sharm El‑Sheikh, Egypt: the summit — The list of countries invited by the U.S.

Greece and Cyprus are among the countries invited by Donald Trump to the Gaza conference, scheduled for Monday in Sharm El‑Sheikh, Egypt.

In the official invitation to the leaders’ summit on Gaza, the U.S. invited, beyond Greece and Cyprus: Azerbaijan, Armenia, El Salvador, Canada, Kuwait, Japan, India, Spain, Bahrain, and Hungary.

Axios reports that Iran was also invited.

Israel will not participate.

The United Nations Secretary‑General Antonio Guterres will take part in the international summit, a spokesman announced late Saturday.

Confirmed participants so far include UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Egypt’s Announcement

Ambassador Mohamed El‑Senawi, press representative of the Egyptian Presidency, stated that the “Sharm El‑Sheikh Peace Summit” on Monday afternoon will host leaders from over 20 countries, co‑chaired by President Abdel Fattah el‑Sisi and U.S. President Donald Trump.

The American news site Axios reported that invitations have also been sent to leaders or foreign ministers from Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Qatar, the UAE, Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Indonesia.

Two officials in the Trump administration told CNN that the U.S. President has invited global leaders to attend the Sharm El‑Sheikh summit in Egypt.

One official added that Trump and his team are coordinating the participant list with the Egyptian side organizing the event. Leaders from France, Germany, and Italy are expected in addition to the heads of Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.

The United States has significantly expanded the list of invitees, including: the UK, France, Germany, Canada, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iran, Pakistan, India, Indonesia, Spain, Cyprus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Hungary, Greece, and El Salvador.

The Élysée Palace announced Saturday that François Macron (French President) will travel to Egypt on Monday to take part in the summit to discuss the implementation of the plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump to end the war in Gaza.

A few hours before the summit, Trump will arrive in Israel, deliver a speech in the Knesset, and meet with hostages’ families.

On Monday morning, the handover of hostages from Hamas is expected to begin.
