In Slovakia, two trains collided in the Roznava region. According to reports, at least 20 people were injured, as reported by UNN.
“Two express trains traveling in opposite directions collided near a village in the Roznava area. Five ambulances and a helicopter arrived at the scene of the accident,” the statement said.
According to the police, the trains were full of passengers.
The Emergency Services Operational Center of the Slovak Republic also shared information about the collision on Facebook.
“Passengers are gradually exiting the trains, and the severity of the injuries is still unknown. The police are securing the accident site, coordinating the work of rescue services, and managing the movement of people in the area. The incident is under investigation,” the police added.
