Summer temperatures prevailed in places in Thessaly, Sterea and Crete on Friday (10/24/10).

According to the network of automatic weather stations of meteo.gr / National Observatory of Athens the highest temperature was recorded in Lassithi and was equal to 30°C.

Nearly clear weather in most of the country with occasional local clouds and a few local showers in the eastern islands until noon. Visibility in the morning and evening hours will be locally limited, especially in the continental mountains.

Winds will blow from westerly directions from 3 to 5 and in the southern Aegean Sea locally up to 6 Beaufort. The temperature will drop slightly, mainly in the north. It will reach 22 to 23 degrees Celsius in the Ionian Sea and the northern mainland, 23 to 25 degrees Celsius in the rest of the regions and 26 degrees Celsius locally in the eastern mainland, Crete and the Dodecanese.
