The US has cancelled a planned meeting in Budapest between President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, following Russia’s insistence on extreme demands over Ukraine, the Financial Times reported today in an op-ed.

The decision was taken after a tense phone call between the two foreign ministers, according to the same newspaper.
