German authorities earlier today banned the Muslim organization “Interaktiv”, accusing it of unconstitutional actions for seeking to establish a Caliphate, and raided premises belonging to two other Islamic organizations for similar reasons.
Authorities raided seven properties in Hamburg early this morning and another 12 in Berlin and the state of Essen as part of preliminary investigations into the organizations Generation Islam and Realitaet Islam, the federal Interior Ministry said in a statement.
Under the ban, the Muslim organization Interaktiv, which was founded in 2020 and organizes demonstrations and is active on various social media, will be banned and its assets seized.
The organisation attracted national attention in early 2024 after a demonstration in Hamburg with 1,000 participants calling for the creation of a caliphate in Germany.
“We will respond with the absolute authority of the law to anyone who aggressively calls in our streets for the establishment of a caliphate, incites hatred against the state of Israel and Jews in an unthinkable way and disregards the rights of women and minorities,” Interior Minister Alexander Dobride said.
