The Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis, announced on SKAI that the deadline for joining the “My Home II” program is extended to May 31, 2026, noting that the original cutoff date was December 31. At the same time, the final disbursement date is shifted from June 30 to August 31, 2026.
Papathanasis emphasized that the program has already reached 65% implementation, with €1.3 billion secured and more than 11,000 young people having purchased a home. All approved properties so far were built up to 2007, as required by the program.
Income criteria are also being raised so that more households can qualify. The limit for single applicants increases from €20,000 to €25,000, for couples from €28,000 to €35,000, and the per-child increase from €4,000 to €5,000. Thus, a four-member family previously eligible up to €36,000 will now qualify up to €45,000. For single-parent households, the limit rises to €39,000 (from €31,000).
The deputy minister added that applications are coming from across the country, with regions such as Eastern Macedonia and Thrace recording more than 850 approvals. Nationwide, buyers are acquiring decent and functional homes, with an average size of 90 sq.m. and an average value of around €150,000—figures showing that the program supports not only buyers but also local housing markets.
