The 29-year-old perpetrator confessed to the brutal beating that led to the death of the 58-year-old in Neos Kosmos.

Just one month earlier, the same man had injured three people with a box cutter in another fight in the same area.

The 29-year-old, who had at least four previous involvements in street fights, was knowledgeable in martial arts.

The fight started when the 58-year-old allegedly sprayed the perpetrator with pepper spray after the latter blocked his way with his motorcycle.

The perpetrator’s father was also arrested for trying to hide his son’s motorcycle.

The 29-year-old’s violent past was revealed as he admitted to being the one who brutally beat the 58-year-old, who later died following their altercation Monday night in Neos Kosmos.

Just one month earlier, at the end of October, he had injured three people during another fight in the same area. At that time, the 29-year-old was with his father in a small truck on Baknana Street, which collided with another truck. A fight followed, during which the 29-year-old pulled out a box cutter and injured a 52-year-old, a 63-year-old, and a 55-year-old.

It has also become known that the 29-year-old, who had been involved in at least four other street fights, was skilled in martial arts and knew how to deliver strikes that could cause serious harm.

An eyewitness told OPEN TV that the 29-year-old’s hand “worked like a compressor, we’re talking serious beating, not joking… a lot of hitting.”

He beat him to death because he blocked his way

The details leading up to the brutal beating of the 58-year-old in Neos Kosmos, who later died in the Evangelismos hospital, were described to the police by the confessed perpetrator, of Albanian origin.

According to the 29-year-old, shortly before 5:00 pm on Monday, he had taken the motorcycle of one of two Greek men who were detained earlier that morning. While near a gym, the victim allegedly blocked his path.

The 29-year-old went to confront him, and the 58-year-old sprayed him with pepper spray and then left. The suspect followed him on the motorcycle, and what happened next is known: he beat him so brutally that the man died shortly after.

It should be noted that the police have video footage showing the victim spraying the perpetrator with pepper spray.

Also, apart from the perpetrator himself, his father has been arrested. When the police went to their home to conduct a search, the father tried to hide his son’s motorcycle. The police noticed this and arrested him on the spot.
