Police officers from the Subdirectorate for the Protection of Minors were confronted with a shocking case that unfolded in Athens with the victims being two children aged 2 and 4 years old and the perpetrators being their 20-year-old uncle and his 40-year-old lover.

They are a 20-year-old from Romania and a 40-year-old from Albania who were arrested for sexual acts against the children, which they committed when the mother – sister of one of the perpetrators and married to a Greek – entrusted them with her children.

The case was revealed when the mother of the two children saw the 4-year-old making strange movements and when asked the child replied “I did them with my uncle”.

Immediately the child’s mother made a complaint to authorities with a child psychologist and a forensic pathologist examining the two boys paving the way for an arrest warrant to be issued against the two men.

Police, in fact, found videos and photos of the cell phones of both the 20-year-old and the 40-year-old with sex acts of them against the two boys and pornographic material featuring children under the age of 10.

After his arrest, the 20-year-old confessed to his sickening acts and was remanded in custody while the 40-year-old, who denies any involvement, is expected to be brought before an investigator on Thursday
