Political exchange in Greek Parliament regarding family relations claims

During a parliamentary session, Minister Takis Theodorikakos addressed PASOK leader Nikos Androulakis, urging him to retract what he called a false claim regarding a familial connection between Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and an individual known as "Frappe," who is linked to the OPEKEPE case

Newsroom November 27 07:21

Theodorikakos stated that there is no evidence supporting the claim that the Prime Minister and “Frappe” are related and asked Androulakis to apologize for making this assertion.

Androulakis repeated his position, citing published reports and wiretap transcripts from the OPEKEPE investigation. He referenced a 2014 photograph showing former Prime Minister Konstantinos Mitsotakis officiating a wedding, asserting that the groom is the brother of the individual called “Frappe.” He described the connection as involving political and social ties.

The government spokesperson, Pavlos Marinakis, also called on Androulakis to retract the statement, denying the existence of such a family link.
