Brazil‘s former president Jair Bolsonaro has revealed his intentions to back his eldest son, Senator Flavio Bolsonaro, as a presidential candidate in the 2026 election, the CNN Brasil television network reported today.

According to CNN Brasil, which cited unnamed sources close to the Bolsonaro family, the former president spoke to his eldest son about the plans during a visit to the federal police offices in Brasilia, where he is serving a sentence for “organizing a coup”.
